Delete Your BackNine Account

BackNine account and data deletion requests can be submitted without logging in.

How to Request Deletion

  1. Send an email to contact@playtheback.com from the email address tied to your BackNine account.
  2. Use the subject line: Delete my BackNine account.
  3. Include any optional details that help us identify your account faster (for example: display name).

What Data Is Deleted

  • Profile information (name, email, account metadata)
  • Round history, scores, and handicap-related records
  • League participation and social content tied to your account
  • In-app preferences and account-linked usage data

Data That May Be Retained

Certain records may be retained when required by law, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or financial compliance. For example, billing and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years.

Deletion Timeline

We process deletion requests as quickly as possible and generally complete deletion within 30 days of verification.
